SAD NEWS : Charlotte Hornets Heat superstar says he wont play again ….

The Miami Heat should unleash Terry Rozier, according to a former superstar: “You have to let him go.”

“You have to let go of Terry Rozier,” Hardaway remarked to The OGs hosts Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem. “You have to give him up. He is aware of what to do. He plays point guard. Be like him. He plays point guard. He’s a young man with the ability to go out and complete tasks. The only person who truly has the ability to break someone down, make things work, and make it happen is him. Therefore, I believe you should release him to complete his necessary actions while he is under arrest.

Earlier in the season, the 29-year-old was possibly playing some of the greatest basketball of his NBA career with the Charlotte Hornets. During his time on the squad, he averaged 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.6 assists in 30 games.

However, since the Heat acquired him last month, Rozier has struggled to regain his confidence when playing on the offensive end of the court. In exchange for guard Kyle Lowry, who was later bought out by Charlotte and joined Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers, the Heat sent him to the Hornets along with a 2027 first-round pick.

Compared to his scoring average as a Hornet, the guard’s average with the Heat has almost been halved. It’s important to note that Rozier is only averaging 12.6 points per game while playing in just 10 games for Miami. He’s shooting 23.4 percent from 3-point range and 35.9 percent from the floor, which is a significant decline in his scoring efficiency.

Due to a knee injury he suffered against his former team, the Boston Celtics, on February 11, Rozier was unable to play for the Heat in their final two games before the All-Star break, against the Milwaukee Bucks on February 13 and the 76ers on February 14.

The Heat prevailed over the Bucks and 76ers on the road despite Rozier’s absence. Given that they triumphed by 26 points, the Heat deserved a landslide victory over the Bucks. However, Miami’s game versus Philadelphia was more closer, with the Heat winning by just five points.

Notwithstanding the team’s difficulties, Miami supporters should have hope for the team’s chances of making another postseason run in the 2024 playoffs if Rozier can duplicate his performance with the Hornets from a few months ago with the Heat over the last stretch of the 2023–24 regular season. After all, the Heat made it to the NBA Finals in 2023 despite playing below par during the regular season in 2022–2023.
