SAD NEWS : Sheffield Wednesday key player is sentenced to a year in prison ….

Sheffield Wednesday was oddly given a smack in survival scrap by a man from QPR who was given a year in prison.
A guy who received a one-year prison sentence was a major factor in the outcome that somewhat diminished Sheffield Wednesday’s significant victory over Bristol City on Saturday.

Wednesday’s third victory in four games bolstered their survival hopes and reduced the distance between them and the safety spots to three points from four. Without the other teams’ efforts in the relegation struggle—Millwall and Huddersfield Town, respectively—and their unexpected victories away at Watford and Southampton, that deficit would have been even more eroded.

QPR is another team participating in the match; they overcame a 2-1 deficit to defeat Rotherham United. Stoke City, who now join Wednesday and the Millers in the drop seats, gained ground on them and moved them out of the bottom three.

The play of Moroccan international Ilias Chair, who was last week condemned to one year in prison with an additional year suspended for his involvement in a 2020 fight that occurred in France, served as inspiration for Rangers’ victory. Chair was found guilty by a Belgian court of using a rock to fracture the skull of a truck driver during a brawl, which required surgery to save his life. However, QPR clarified in a statement that the legal proceedings were still in progress.
According to reports out of London, QPR’s star player has started the appeals process and will be allowed to continue playing for the team until it is finished. The crafty striker opened the scoring and set up Chris Willock’s winner in the 75th minute.

After the game, Rangers manager Marti Cifuentes stated, “I think that the club already made a clear statement about the situation.” “He’s a player who is available. An excellent performance from a crucial player for us. I’m happy with the team’s performance, but I won’t say too much about it.
