Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White showed his frustration at the VAR controversy in their FA Cup exit to Manchester United.
The Reds looked to have United on the ropes in the first half as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side created several decent chances. Forest struggled to keep that momentum at times in the second half but appeared to be heading for extra time at the City Ground.
Following the final whistle, Gibbs-White shared a social media post to his Instagram story highlighting a similar foul by Liverpool’s Wataru Endo in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final, leading to Virgil van Dijk’s goal being disallowed. Gibbs-White has since removed the post but the decision to allow Casemiro’s goal means Forest have been denied an FA Cup quarter-final tie with Liverpool.
