Caitlin Clark bailed out by Indiana Fever teammate when she faced harsh question she could not answer…

Clark faces tough question after win
Clark has been the subject of media scrutiny all season, facing many questions about topics she does not want to discuss, like her “rivalry” with Angel Reese, her Olympic “snub,” and the physical treatment from WNBA opponents like Chennedy Carter.

Following the Fever’s 88-81 win over the struggling Washington Mystics, their third home win in a row, Clark was bombarded with a question not about the win, but her off-target passes. 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year Aliyah Boston stepped in for the assist for the 2024 front runner for the same award.

“Just trying to slow down a little bit,” Clark said about remedying her turnovers. “Honestly I’m trying to remember the other ones.”

“Don’t worry,” Boston interrupted, taking the pressure off her point guard.

“You look at Caitlin and the way she passes the ball and sometimes things are gonna happen that way. We’re not gonna let her hang her head, we’re not gonna hang our head off of any missed passes,” she continued, shutting down the reporter’s cynical question.

It’s not the first time Boston has showed up for the former Iowa star this season, and she has needed it. Former NBA player Matt Barnes was one of many in the media who insisted that Clark’s teammates were not doing enough to protect her from the constant targeting by the likes of Carter.

After finally getting some much needed rest and improving to 6-10 during this little streak, it appears like the Fever are coming together, both on and off the court. They will only go as far as their duo of No. 1 draft picks will take them, and at the moment, they are both assisting each other.
