Jumbo Package: Preseason power rankings show Alabama Football falling out of contention

Alabama’s absence from the top five in an offseason ranking may come as a shock, which brings up an essential query: To what extent do the Crimson Tide deserve to be given a pass? After Nick Saban retired, a flood of players left the program, and he is no longer there. Kalen DeBoer, who has won wherever he’s gone, was hired by Alabama in response, and the new team added a number of significant elements to the transfer site. In addition to interior offensive lineman Parker Brailsford, defensive lineman LT Overton, and safety Keon Sabb, the Crimson Tide also added offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor, who had returned from Iowa. This is still an incredibly skilled squad. But is this Alabama program still the same as it has always been? Many things depend on.

Do they have a point? Yes, in my opinion. There are many unanswered questions and many possible outcomes in Alabama. Is it still OK to feel happy and incensed about the disrespect? Indeed.

In case you haven’t heard, Tuscaloosa is seeing significant changes. After an incredible 17 years at Alabama, Nick Saban made the decision to hang up his boots and make room for former Washington manager Kalen DeBoer. He takes over with a fantastic group that still has the potential to be an SEC contender despite a few significant transfer losses. Jalen Milroe is expected to have a huge year because of his exceptional physical attributes; DeBoer also has a tendency of bringing the best out of his players, especially quarterbacks.

The reason Ole Miss was ranked third was because their schedule is more advantageous and they can hopefully advance into post-season conversations now that they are not required to face Alabama.
