As announced during the Draft Lottery on May 7, the Philadelphia Flyers will officially have the 12th overall choice in the 2024 NHL Draft.

Flyers general manager Danny Briere has maintained that the team never intended to “tank” in order to choose a higher choice in the draft, and they have no desire to acquire players with greater experience in order to succeed in the near term. It will certainly be a fascinating draft for Flyers fans to monitor, considering that it follows a significant cultural revamp within the Flyers locker room, with a lot of work and influence from the front office.

Prospects like Carter Yakemchuk (WHL; Calgary Hitmen), Berkly Catton (WHL; Spokane Chiefs), Tij Iginla (WHL; Kelowna Rockets), and even stars like Sam Dickinson (OHL; London Knights) or Cole Eiserman (USNTDP Juniors) are among the many talented players that could be selected at No. 12.

Fans won’t want to miss the 2024 NHL Draft as the Flyers continue to develop their youthful core, especially because it’s a well-known truth that Briere always has something new planned.
